Quarantined

Daddy and I both have colds. That is no fun. I hope it's gone by next Friday. My coughs tend to last forever though, so that's not going to be cool. I bet I have to get some masks so I don't breath on the new baby. That will be so hard for this grandma. Cause my favorite thing to do with babies is to munch on their little faces. You can't get a good munch with a mask on.

Poor William. He can't catch a break. Just as he gets his own computer fixed and it looks like life as we all know it can return to normal, his little LeCie drive breaks. We've tried everything. It will not be seen on the desktop. All of his artwork and projects are on that drive. So needless to say, things are a little tense around here today. Add to that that I told him he has to get a haircut today and that poor boy is ready to explode.

David had his first guitar lesson yesterday. He was very excited. Daddy bought him some software called GuitarPro that he has been playing with. It is quite elaborate. It will create the written music for whatever you play. He plays his guitar and it records it and plays it back in written music. It does all sorts of cool things. Cool, if you're into that sort of thing. I already have enough hobbies so I am staying clear of this one. But his music teacher uses it also and they email stuff back and forth. I think they are called "Tabs". Some sort of shorthand music for guitar. It's all very confusing to me, but they know what they are doing. Anyway, he is very excited.

Gotta go. Be back later.

You know, Mom...last time MY computer seriously broke, a tornado was the cause. And then all we needed to to was buy a new power supply (around $100.)

food for thought. Buy a PC. Use your mac as a boat anchor

Ooooooooh Lyndsey. You are so going to hell. I think you must have been switched at birth. This is and always will be a Macintosh/Apple family. A pox on you for thinking we should get a PC. Eeeew!!! it gives me chills just thinking about it.

I'm not the only one with a PC, thank you very much. Megan has one, as well. Heather had one forever until you converted her back, you heathen you. Besides, my husband has many years of computer programming and computer building under his belt, so he knows what he's doing. My computer is bigger, faster, stronger, and cuter. And my balls are bigger than yours. And made of brass. So there.

17 inch iMac - $1200
LaCie Drive - $400
New Screen for the iMac - $600
New Logic Board for the iMac - $500
Labor for fixing iMac - $800
Art Software - $300

Having your autistic son melt down because your iMac broke...again...

priceless.

Lyndsey doesn't love macs??? I had no idea!

Wow....

You start using Airborne immediately. Go buy two bottles and start fizzing them one after the other. Get started now now now!

I love macs too. Realistically, the prices of the computers are a lot closer than people think they are. PC's don't come with anything and Macs come with all of the software you would need under most circumstances (if you aren't Mom or Dad or William). Most people with Macs only need to buy one or two things, all of the most expensive softwares and operating systems come with it.

You don't have to do it if you don't want to.
